Strolled down to the market, per usual, this morning. The eight raindrops that fell did not thin the crowds! Strawberries abound this time of year, and asparagus still plentiful. For breakfast, I continued my quest to try everything on the menu at Rootz, an African-Caribean cuisine booth. Really nice folks, good food. Today, I had their breakfast sandwich. It was a croissant, scrambled eggs, roasted veggies and a jerk hot sauce. Hey, not terribly afro-carib, but it was tasty! Last week had the jerk chicken. Really good! Music throughout the market was particularly good. Opus Taylor played on the west end of Court. They have a blast, as evidenced by their version of Pinball Wizard via Johnny Cash! We picked up some tomatoes, radishes and strawberries. Great start to the day!
