The Downtown Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Restaurant Series where each month members can sign up to eat at a downtown restaurant. They meet each other and make connections and also the chef and/or owner talks to the group about the restaurant, the food, his or her history and answers questions.
This month we went to Poke in the 300 MLK Building today. Fresh healthy bowls with rice, cauliflower rice or greens as a base, seafood such as tuna, salmon or shrimp. And they also have chicken. Add several varieties of familiar and unfamiliar vegetables, sauce and crunchy toppings. It was truly delicious!
Shane is the general manager there and his repeated theme in each bite is the best you’ve had. Passionate, young, talented and informed, he is completely accessible to the patrons. Try out samples, make your bowl, eat in or carry out. Just a really great, different option downtown.
