And both Gil and George being on tour with Cool and the Gang in the day as part of the opening act. Both had the honor of playing the famous NYC club, “The Apollo Theater” as young men.
George and Gil Davis are both early entries into the Iowa Blues hall of Fame.

Gil Davis is the bass player and assists in singing with his brother. His reputation as a groove bass player with feel is well known in the Des Moines area.
Jim Parker plays drums and sings background vocals. He has been a permanent member of Sumpin Doo since 2013. Jim plays in numerous bands in the Des Moines area to include the Tony Valdez Large Band and the RhythMatics. Jim was the drummer in the Cavaliers during the 70’s and was inducted into the Iowa Rock n Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Cavaliers.
Danny Nicholson is the lead guitarist and has been in the band for two years. Danny has been a major staple in the Des Moines guitar player scene for many years.
